In this active guided mediation class, we practice self acceptance meditation. Self acceptance brings peace, whereas self judgement brings stress. We start with warm-up movements such as stretching, gently shaking our limbs, swaying, and dance-like movements, while the music of the harmonium is being played. Next, we sit on chairs and explore some breathing exercises (pranayama). Some of the breath practices are more audible and active. We then welcome the breath and observe how we feel in our bodies, hearts, and minds free of judgement. We finish our class by sending loving kindness to our loved ones.
Each element of the hour meditation is optional. Please feel free to do what is comfortable for you.
