Join Stephanie Krellwitz, Registered Yoga Teacher and Z-Health® Movement Reeducation Specialist, in a workshop focused on improving physical balance ability. Learn easy-to-use strategies to improve single-leg balance skills relating to yoga asana (postures) as well as to prevent a decline in future balance. With practice, anyone can improve their balance abilities!
This workshop will:
• review systems of the body that impact balance and identify common reasons why balance can become a challenge
• utilize a single leg balance “test” to find a baseline before learning balance-improving strategies
• discover strategies for improving balance such as calming/grounding, visual engagement, and preparing for postures through sensory and motor warm-ups
• review common yoga balance postures for alignment and modification options
• practice balance in a fun and supportive environment
This workshop is for all levels for anyone wishing to practice balance postures!
We would like at least 8 people to be signed up for this workshop to run.
